While exosomes have been used in the aesthetic field globally for many years, they are completely new to Australia. Exosomes are paramount in aiding in skin and scalp regeneration and rejuvenation. Shellharbour Skin is proud to be one of the first clinics in Australia to offer this exciting treatment.
What are exosomes?
Exosomes in aesthetics act as tiny messengers, delivering crucial instructions to skin cells. Your body produces organically exosomes, which are filled with proteins, growth factors, and other helpful substances. Exosomes, commonly utilised in aesthetic treatments, effectively deliver beneficial ingredients precisely to the targeted areas, rejuvenating the skin. Consider them as tiny messengers, delivering a youthful and vibrant appearance to your skin with no any invasive treatments.
What skin concerns do exosomes treat?
Because of the regenerative nature of exosomes, a treatment will address multiple skin concerns simultaneously, including skin rejuvenation, increased collagen production, improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, calm rosacea, decrease acne flares and improve scarring. Exosomes are also great at treating hair loss. Exosomes sourced from hair follicles will aid in hair regeneration, meaning thicker and fuller hair for both men and women.
How are exosomes delivered into the skin or scalp?
We apply exosomes topically to the skin or scalp after either Dermapen 4 Microneedling treatment or Sylfirm X Radiofrequency Microneedling. The needling process opens channels in the skin, and then we apply the exosomes over the open channels to penetrate the skin or scalp. Sylfirm X is the preferred, more effective method for exosomes to penetrate the skin or scalp, however if budget restrictions do not allow for the Sylfirm X, Dermapen 4 is adequate.
How many sessions are required?
At Shellharbour Skin, we recommend starting with 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

- Sylfirm X Radiofrequency Micro-needling and Exosome Booster (Face only): $795 per session or $845 per session (face and neck)

Downtime?
The downtime directly results from the underlying needling treatment. We expect mild redness 24 hours after the treatment.
