Understanding Your Treatment Costs
Treatment costs depend on the service, your individual needs and the plan recommended following assessment.
If treatment is appropriate, your practitioner will explain the proposed options, associated costs, potential risks and limitations before you decide whether to proceed.
A consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be recommended. There is no obligation to proceed with treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a consultation cost?
Consultation fees vary depending on the appointment type and practitioner. Please call (02) 4249 2860 for the fee applicable to your appointment before booking.
Can I ask about fees before booking?
Yes. Our team can provide consultation fee information and assist with general pricing enquiries. An individual treatment quote may require a clinical assessment.
Why aren’t aesthetic medicine treatment prices listed online?
We understand that cost is an important part of your decision.
In Australia, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) restricts public advertising of prescription-only medicines, including those that may be used in aesthetic medicine. These restrictions can apply to pricing information that promotes those medicines.
AHPRA and the National Boards regulate advertising of health services. Advertising must be accurate, avoid misleading claims and not create unreasonable expectations of treatment outcomes.
At Shellharbour Skin, we provide fee information directly rather than publish fees online. This is our clinic’s approach across our services; not all service prices are prohibited from being advertised.
Please contact our team for consultation fees and general fee enquiries.
Why might I need a consultation before receiving an exact treatment quote?
An accurate quote depends on your individual assessment and the options recommended by your practitioner. Before a consultation, we may not have enough information to confirm what is suitable or what it would cost.
Your consultation includes discussion of appropriate options, which may or may not involve medication or treatment.
Will I know the cost before treatment?
Yes. If treatment is recommended, the proposed plan and associated costs will be explained before you decide whether to proceed. You can ask questions and take time to consider your options.
Do I have to proceed with treatment after a consultation?
No. You can choose not to proceed. Any applicable consultation fee remains payable, as explained when you book, regardless of whether you go ahead with treatment.
What if I’m still unsure which appointment to choose?
Call (02) 4249 2860 and briefly explain the reason for your visit. Our reception team can help with appointment selection and refer clinical questions to a practitioner where needed.
