What is the Facial Analysis System
The Facial Analysis System allows standardised clinical images to be taken, to accurately identify skin conditions such as wrinkles, pigmentation, enlarged pores and facial redness. Some of these concerns may not be visible to the naked eye, especially underlying pigmentation or vessels that cause redness in the skin. Having a system that allows a deeper look into the condition of a patient’s skin allows for a more appropriate treatment plan to be formulated for the patient, meaning faster positive outcomes.
The Facial Analysis System allows the patient to be able to visualise their skin in a 3D image, and to identify areas of priority when making commencing a skin treatment plan at Shellharbour Skin. Before and After photos can be collected in a standardised way, to ensure results are documented accurately and are not subject to changes in lighting or positioning when taken with a regular camera. The Facial Analysis System is quick and painless to do, completed in less than 20 minutes. The images collected are held in a confidential patient file and are only shared with the written consent of the patient. What makes our consultation process unique
Treatment plans at Shellharbour Skin are formulated with our unique interdisciplinary team approach, meaning that our staff members will often liaise with their colleagues for their expert opinion when formulating a treatment plan for a patient. For example, the principal Doctor and clinic owner Dr Barney Gordon, may be seeing a patient for a skin cancer check, and that person enquires about how they can improve the appearance of their skin.
Dr Gordon will call on the Registered Nurses and Dermal Therapists at Shellharbour Skin to come into the consultation room and give their opinion on how different modalities could help the patient achieve their outcomes. Working as an interdisciplinary team means better treatment outcomes for the patient. Our team specialise in skin cancer treatment, injectables, skin treatments and home skin care plans. Working together to formulate a treatment plan for a patient means they get the best advice, for a range of treatment options in one appointment. The consultation process is a team-based approach, as is the treatment plan that follows.
